OUR STORY

Brothers building
something lasting.

Churchyard Residential was created by brothers Lee and Sean Churchyard to acquire and build a carefully chosen portfolio of residential property in Folkestone and the surrounding Kent area.

The aim is simple: focus on the right homes, make measured improvements where needed and hold property for the long term. We are interested in opportunities that work on the fundamentals, not just on a spreadsheet.

Because our focus is local, every acquisition is considered through the lens of the places we know best, from central Folkestone apartments to homes across the nearby coast and surrounding neighbourhoods.

Lee Churchyard

Director & Investor

Lee brings extensive experience across residential sales, lettings and property investment, together with an in-depth understanding of the wider Folkestone market. He is particularly skilled at recognising opportunities where location, presentation and thoughtful improvements can create lasting value.

As Co-Founder and Managing Director of Match Estates, Lee has built an award-winning independent agency and established a reputation for clear advice, strong negotiation and considered property decisions. He also serves as Chairman of the Folkestone, Hythe & District Association of Property Professionals, reflecting his active role in the local property community.

At Churchyard Residential, Lee combines that first-hand market knowledge with a long-term investment mindset, working alongside Sean to acquire, enhance and hold quality rental homes across Folkestone and the surrounding area.

Director & Investor

Sean brings extensive experience in stocks and ISA investing, with a disciplined appreciation of risk, return and the value of long-term planning. He approaches each opportunity with analytical thinking, patience and a clear focus on sustainable growth.

His investment background complements Lee's knowledge of the local property market, combining financial insight with a practical approach to evaluating residential assets. Sean is particularly interested in the principles that underpin sound buy-to-let investment: sensible acquisition costs, measured improvements, consistent income and the potential to build value over time.

Through Churchyard Residential, Sean is excited to develop a rental portfolio alongside Lee, building a business that invests thoughtfully in well-chosen homes across Folkestone and the surrounding area, with a clear view of the future.
